AITA for Refusing to Give My Mom Access to My Savings Account Despite Her Claim It’s for “Family Emergencies”?

Advice Needed
I (24F) have been working since I was 18 and have been carefully saving money. Over the years, I’ve built up a solid emergency fund and started putting money aside to eventually buy a house. My family knows I’m good with money, and lately, my mom (48F) has been pressuring me to let her have access to my savings account.

She argues that the family has faced numerous unexpected expenses recently, like car repairs and medical bills for my younger brother (15M). While I completely understand that money is tight, I’ve always contributed when I could. I’ve paid for groceries, helped with household bills, and covered school supplies for my brother.

However, my mom says these contributions aren’t enough. She wants direct access to my savings “just in case something big happens.” I told her I wasn’t comfortable with that, as I’ve worked hard for this money and it’s meant to secure my future. I also reassured her that I’d help if a real emergency arises, but I’d prefer to handle it on my terms.

This led to a big argument. She accused me of not trusting her and labeled me as selfish. My dad has stayed neutral, but my older sister (26F) sides with my mom, saying I’m overreacting and should give her access. She even said, “What’s the point of saving if you’re not going to help your family?”

Now, I’m feeling conflicted. On one hand, I want to support my family during tough times, but on the other, I don’t think it’s fair to give up control over the money I’ve worked so hard to save.
